Is it halal or haram ; Why was it important to make changes
I found from the perspective of several users of the website that some changes were needed. This was for the website to be more user friendly and clearer for people of all learning backgrounds. From research I found having an Amazon Search style function and making the website mobile friendly has proven to be very effective for the users to search. From monitoring the social media platforms and website have notice a vast rise in followers and visitors from across the World.
Getting the design right has been crucial this year and moving forward I am starting to add more content from supermarkets as well as information from traveling reviews and lifestyle queries on certain Islamic matters.
How does it make me feel
It’s great to know moving forward people are benefiting from the research I post on the website. Many people are oblivious sadly and will overlook a number of products and assume there are Halal. The website not only makes people aware of what is Halal but also explains the reasons behind it with both wording and images. It is important to have both words and images as words alone can cause information overload and deter some people from accessing the website. It has been hard work getting the http://isithalalorharam.com recognised throughout the communities but the hard work and the reward for setting this up has all been worth it. I will continue to monitor the website and user feedback and make changes in future as required.
